Some dental problems will not wait for a routine appointment: a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost crown, swelling, bleeding after an extraction, or pain that keeps you from sleeping. Call us when it happens and we will see you the same day, during opening hours — Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm.
The first visit is about making you safe and comfortable: stopping pain, protecting what can be saved, and dealing with infection. If a tooth has been knocked out, keep it — hold it by the crown, not the root, and store it in milk — and call us immediately; the sooner it is re-implanted, the better its chances.
Once the urgent problem is settled, we plan any follow-on work with you calmly. Nothing further is done in a hurry.
If you have trouble breathing or swallowing, facial swelling that is spreading, or bleeding that will not stop, this is a medical emergency — call 999 or go to A&E now. Do not wait for the practice.
